Free reply generator for negative Etsy reviews
Write a calm, professional public reply to a bad review in seconds — no blame, the facts, and an invitation to sort it out. Future buyers read your reply.
Your reply
Why reply at all
The reviewer has made up their mind; your reply is for the next buyer reading it. A short, calm answer that shows you care and states the facts reassures them far more than silence — or an argument.
- Keep it short and polite. Never share order details or personal information.
- State facts, not blame ("this item is an instant download").
- Say what you've done and invite a private message.
If the review breaks Etsy's rules (for example a delivery complaint on a digital download), report it too — the review report builder picks the reason. If bad reviews are arriving in a run, read what to do about review bombing.
Questions
- Can I reply to every review on Etsy?
- Etsy lets sellers post one public response to a review. Write it once, carefully — you usually can't edit it later.
- Should I offer a refund in the reply?
- Only if you'd offer it anyway. Never ask the buyer to change or remove the review in exchange — that breaks Etsy's rules.
