# Template: ask Etsy support to review a run of fake negative reviews

> A message for Etsy support when your shop is hit by a run of suspicious 1-star reviews — so the reviews are looked at together, as a pattern, not one at a time.

Send this **once**, through Etsy's Help Center (chat or a callback request), after reporting the individual reviews. Keep the case number. If the ticket is closed without an answer, reply referencing it. See [what to do about review bombing](/guides/etsy-review-bombing-fake-negative-reviews).

Subject: Suspected coordinated negative reviews on [SHOP NAME] — request for Trust & Safety review

Hello,

I run [SHOP NAME] ([SHOP URL]), with [NUMBER] sales, [NUMBER] reviews and [Star Seller status / a 4.9 average] over [TIME SELLING]. Since [DATE], my shop has received a run of low reviews that I believe are coordinated rather than genuine buyer feedback, and they are now affecting my service standards.

What I'm seeing:
- [NUMBER] one- or two-star reviews in [NUMBER] days, against about [NUMBER] a month before.
- [They are on my bestsellers, which haven't changed.]
- [Several complain about mail or delivery, although the items are instant digital downloads.]
- [None of the buyers replied when I messaged them to help.]

The reviews:
1. [DATE] · [RATING]★ · [LISTING] · "[REVIEW TEXT]" · order [ORDER NUMBER]
2. [DATE] · [RATING]★ · [LISTING] · "[REVIEW TEXT]" · order [ORDER NUMBER]
3. …

Previous contacts: [DATE, CASE NUMBER, OUTCOME — e.g. "closed without a reply"].

I'm not asking you to remove honest feedback. I'm asking for these reviews to be looked at together, as a pattern, by someone who can check the buyer accounts and order history for signs of review manipulation. I can send screenshots, message history and a full case file.

Thank you,
[YOUR NAME]
[SHOP NAME]

## Tips

- Report each review through the review's own report option first, with the right reason. Our [review report builder](/tools/etsy-review-report-builder) picks it and writes the text.
- Stick to facts and dates. Avoid naming a competitor unless you have evidence.
- Keep a log of every contact. A closed ticket with no reply is part of your case.

## Questions

**Should I name the competitor I suspect?**

Only if you have evidence. Describing the pattern and asking Etsy to check the buyer accounts is usually more effective than an accusation.
