Subject: DMCA takedown notice — unauthorized use of my product photographs

To the designated copyright agent,

I am the owner of the copyright in the photographs identified below. They are being used without my authorization.

1. Original work: product photographs of "[YOUR PRODUCT NAME]", first published at [YOUR LISTING URL] on or before [DATE YOU FIRST PUBLISHED].

2. Infringing material: [INFRINGING URL]
The listing/page displays my photographs (or close crops/edits of them) to sell a product.

3. My contact information:
   Name: [YOUR FULL NAME]
   Business: [SHOP NAME]
   Address: [POSTAL ADDRESS]
   Email: [EMAIL]
   Phone: [PHONE]

4. I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

5. The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.

Please remove or disable access to the infringing material.

Signed: [YOUR FULL NAME]
Date: [DATE]

Before you send

  • Send one notice per infringing URL where the platform asks for that.
  • Keep a screenshot and an archive snapshot of the infringing page first — it may change once the seller is notified.
  • Find the right form for each marketplace on our report a copy pages.

Questions

Do I need to register my copyright first?
No — you own copyright in your photos when you take them. Registration matters mainly if you later sue in the US.
Does a DMCA notice work outside the US?
Most large marketplaces worldwide accept DMCA-style notices, and many have their own IP forms that ask for the same information.
